Cox Sports Television added in Mineola, TX and Leesville, LA

NEW ORLEANS – Cox Sports Television announced today that Suddenlink Communications has launched the regional sports network in two of its systems, Mineola, Texas, and Leesville, Louisiana. CST is currently offered on 37 Suddenlink systems serving Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas.

Mineola, which is located about 80 miles east of Dallas, is the eleventh area in the Lone Star State to get CST programming gives CST yet another strong presence in eastern part of the state.

“Cox Sports Television and Suddenlink have enjoyed a great partnership since 2005 and it gets stronger each year,” said CST head Rod Mickler. “We are excited to have the opportunity to bring our network and teams to more Suddenlink markets and we look forward to being added to more in the future.”

Located about 50 miles west of Alexandria, La., Leesville will get to benefit from CST’s vast amount of Louisiana sports. The west Louisiana town will get its fill of home team programming including the NFC Champion New Orleans Saints, the New Orleans Hornets of the NBA, the LSU Tigers, Louisiana High School Athletic Association and much more.

"We're very pleased to add Cox Sports Television (CST) to our full lineup of sports programming," said Suddenlink Leesville System Operations Manager Larry Dykes.  "CST's regional sports flavor, particularly with its extensive coverage of Louisiana professional and collegiate sports teams, will be an attractive addition for our Leesville and Fort Polk customers."

In addition to a great lineup of professional sports teams and colleges in the Southern part of the country, CST is also the home to outdoors programming that is very attractive to the avid hunters and fishermen that reside in what is known as “The Sportsman’s Paradise”.
