CST SET FOR LIVE LHSAA SOFTBALL TELECASTS

CST to broadcast Class 2A and 3A softball championship games!!

NEW ORLEANS – Cox Sports Television’s live coverage of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association continues this weekend when CST heads to Frasch Park in Sulphur, Louisiana, for the 2010 LHSAA State Farm State Softball Tournament.

CST will provide a live broadcast of the Class 2A and 3A title games beginning at 5pm on Saturday, May 1.

St. Charles Catholic is the top seed in the Class 2A bracket and looks to dethrone defending champion Evangel, the second-seeded team in the tournament. St. Charles will face Sterlington in the quarterfinals, while Winnfield will battle Opelousas Catholic. Other quarterfinal action includes Evangel vs. Riverside and Pine Prairie vs. Kinder.

In 3A, Buckeye is the top seed and matches up with Westlake with Notre Dame playing against Catholic of New Iberia in the opposite quarterfinal. On the other side of the bracket, winner of the Avoyelles-Parkview Baptist game will face the Rayne-Albany winner.
