CST announces plans for coverage of Saints Parade
NEW ORLEANS - Cox Sports Television, the regional sports network home of the Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints, announced today its plans for LIVE coverage of Tuesday's parade honoring the Black and Gold.
The parade is scheduled to begin at 5pm from the Louisiana Superdome and take the Uptown Carnival route ending on Convention Center Boulevard. CST's coverage will start at 6pm with live shots through the route and interviews of Saints players and personnel as they make their way through the streets.
The week following the Saints historic win against the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship Game, city officials decided to schedule a parade in honor of the Saints regardless of a win or a loss in Super Bowl XLIV against the Indianapolis Colts.
CST is also proud to announce that Brian Harris Autoplex of Slidell and Bud Light will serve as presenting sponsors of the festivities.
Jerry Peters, Marketing Manager of Southern Eagle is excited to be a part of the celebration.
"Bud Light has been associated with the Saints for years. We want to finish this season strong and a great way to do that is with CST, Bud Light and a celebration parade.”
"We are pleased to be joining CST on covering the Saints Parade," said Jack Francioni, General Manager of Brian Harris Autoplex. "We recognize how much the Saints mean to the City of New Orleans and the entire region. By us joining with CST - it is our way to say 'Thanks to our good friend Scott Fujita and all the Saints on a great season and all that they do for our community on the NorthShore and in particular Slidell."
CST continues its year-long coverage of the Saints in the off season with a look into OTAs, the NFL Draft, mini-camp, training camp and eventually LIVE preseason games.
