CST’s 10th Season Of Hornets Telecasts to Include the entire 65 game schedule produced in High Definition
NEW ORLEANS – Cox Sports Television and the New Orleans Hornets announced today that CST’s entire 65 game schedule will be produced in High Definition, this marks the first time in the ten year partnership between the Hornets and CST, that the entire broadcast schedule will be produced in HD. These games will be made available to CST affiliates across the entire Gulf South.
CST has been the exclusive regional sports network home for the Hornets since their debut in the Crescent City in 2002. As always, CST will produce a total of 65 Hornets games available to their fans throughout the Gulf South. Of special interest to all Hornets fans this year, all games produced by CST will be available on CSTHD. This marks the largest number of Hornets games ever produced by CST in High Definition.
"We are excited to once again be partnering with CST to bring our fans Hornets basketball," Hornets president Hugh Weber said. "With 65 games being broadcast on CST, including all in HD, fans will have a great opportunity to see our team as we embark on a thrilling, new season."
"Cox Sports Television is thrilled to be entering into our tenth season of Hornets basketball" stated CST head Rod Mickler. "The Hornets fans across the Gulf South are anxious for another year of exciting basketball and we can't wait to tip-off our exclusive 65 game schedule on December 26th!"
Additional Hornets programming on CST includes Hornets Coaches Report and Hornets Insider. Head coach Monty Williams gives fans a weekly backstage pass to the team and their preparation for each game throughout the season on Hornets Coaches Report, which begins on December 30. Hornets Insider, beginning January 6, gives fans a monthly look behind the scenes of the organization.
The 2011-12 season broadcast schedule begins on December 26 on the road against the Phoenix Suns. Two days later, the Boston Celtics come to town for the home opener at the Hive. CST will broadcast all but one game on the 2011-12 schedule, which will be broadcasted by TNT, proving again that CST covers the Hornets like no one else.
