Paragould Light, Water and Cable and Suddenlink Communications add regional sports network to lineup!

NEW ORLEANS – Cox Sports Television, Suddenlink Communications and Paragould Light, Water and Cable announced today that the regional sports network has expanded it’s coverage with a launch in Northeast Arkansas and a launch in south Louisiana. CST is now available on Paragould’s digital lineup, while Suddenlink’s Louisiana systems in New Iberia and Anacoco have launched the 24-hour regional sports network on expanded basic.

Paragould customers are able to view the regional sports network home of the Arkansas Razorbacks on channel 138, while CST will be a part of the lineup in New Iberia on channel 23 and Anacoco on channel 81. These new launches in the state further extend CST’s reach across the state of Arkansas and quickly follow earlier launches this month on Clinton Cable and Suddenlink systems serving Newport and Cabot. In Arkansas, CST is available on all Cox Communications systems, most Suddenlink systems, Community Cable in Monticello, Conway Corporation in Conway, Clinton Cable and now Paragould.

Late in 2010, CST inked a multi-year extension with the University of Arkansas and Razorback Sports Properties, Inc. to provide extensive coverage to the university’s athletic department.  CST’s coverage also includes programming from other Arkansas schools including the Sun Belt Conference members Arkansas State and Arkansas-Little Rock.

“We are thrilled to have CST and our extensive Arkansas Razorback and Arkansas State programming available in more areas of the state of Arkansas and happy to expand our reach in the state of Louisiana,” stated CST VP Rod Mickler, “We appreciate the folks at Paragould and Suddenlink Communications for adding CST to their line-up and look forward to introducing our teams to the great sports fans within those areas.”

“Our customers are very excited to have Cox Sports Television in our lineup,” said Farron Toler, GM of Paragould Cable. “The coverage CST provides of Arkansas State, Arkansas and the SEC is unparalleled and is a welcome addition to our system.”

“Cox Sports Television will add a great lineup of sports programming, especially down in Cajun Country,” said Larry Dykes, Suddenlink general manager for Leesville and Anacoco, La.  “We are pleased to bring UL, LSU, Saints and other great programming to our customers.”

CST televises over 300 events annually including live coverage of teams from some of the top conferences in the country, including: Big 12, SEC, Big East, Sun Belt, CUSA, SWAC, WAC, Gulf South and the Atlantic Sun. CST offers live studio shows, outdoor programming and the south’s top high school coverage including weekly, live high school football games of the week.
