GEAR UP FOR GREAT SUMMER PROGRAMMING ON COX SPORTS TELEVISION
Summer programming on CST is just as hot as the weather outside!
NEW ORLEANS – The temperature outside is already reaching scorching temperatures and so is the programming this Summer on Cox Sports Television. CST’s schedule becomes a combination of the hottest encores, some great live action and heads into the Fall with training camp and preseason coverage of the New Orleans Saints.
As the regional sports network for the LSU Tigers, CST’s coverage of the Bayou Bengals is year-round. The popular football replays will reside on Sunday nights and Wednesdays at Noon as we head into the season in the fall. Replays of all 13 wins from last season are on the schedule for the summer. To compliment play on the gridiron, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer and gymnastics re-airs will occupy the Wednesday spot in the LSU block.
CST, the regional home of the Saints, will again go camping with the Black and Gold and provide several daily updates across a wide array of platforms, including; on-air, CST’s web site (www.coxsportstv.com), CST NOW! (Video on Demand) and CST’s social networks, Facebook, YOUTUBE and Twitter. It all leads up to CST’s live coverage of three Saints preseason games. Tune in to watch New Orleans on the road against New England (8/9), at home against Jacksonville (8/17) and in Tennessee against the Titans (8/30).
The New Orleans Zephyrs, the minor league AAA affiliate for the Miami Marlins, continue to have CST as its regional sports network and continues to be the staple of the network’s summer programming. The Z’s have eight more live contests this summer on CST, one of which is the annual July 4th extravaganza.
Other summer programming for CST include encores of some of the network’s most popular events. The Louisiana High School Athletic Association will be featured with encores of football, basketball, baseball and softball regular season and championship events.
Summer programming will also include events from the Sun Belt Conference, as well as the Arkansas Razorbacks. Fans can tune in to see a wide variety of contests from football to hoops to softball to baseball each Tuesday.
As always, CST will continue to have programming blocks of must-see action, including the Fight Sports block on Monday nights. To begin each and every week, viewers can step into the ring to see highlights of competitions that include board breaking; brick breaking; speed breaking and much more. Classic Mixed Martial Arts and boxing competitions are also a part of Monday programming.
The state of Louisiana is called the Sportsman’s Paradise and CST delivers. Every Wednesday evening and Saturday and Sunday mornings, viewers get the opportunity to enjoy the Gulf South’s natural beauty and abundant fish & game populations with a block of outdoors programming.
