NEW ORLEANS – Cox Sports Television announced today its largest and most extensive college baseball and softball schedule in the history of the regional sports network. Consisting of teams from the SEC, Sun Belt, C-USA, SWAC, Big 12 and Southland Conferences, CST is the perfect destination for the college sports fan!

Headlining the baseball schedule is the LSU Tigers, defending national champions and currently the top team in the NCAA. Head coach Paul Mainieri’s club is littered highlights throughout the schedule with 16 total games. The first is scheduled for the weekend of March 19, as the Tigers are at home against SEC foe Arkansas.

The 2009 SWAC champion Southern Jaguars lead off the 2010 schedule, although, with a home game against in-state rival Southeastern Louisiana on March 9.

The schedule continues to get better, as CST’s coverage includes some of the nation’s top-ranked teams from the top league conferences in the country. CST will cover the likes of Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Florida, Ole Miss, and South Carolina. NCAA Regional regulars Troy, Louisiana-Lafayette, Tulane, Alabama, Vanderbilt and others also make appearances on CST this season.

The season will culminate with live postseason broadcasts of the SEC and Sun Belt Conference Tournaments and the Division II Championships in May.

The 2010 softball schedule is loaded with Top 25 talent. Heavy hitters include the likes of LSU, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Louisiana-Lafayette. All six teams entered the season ranked in the preseason polls. The top-10 match up of Florida and Georgia will get the softball schedule started on March 10.

CST ends the season with coverage of the Sun Belt Conference Championships and the Division II title game as well.
