Good things come to those who wait.

After three games, and another 14 innings on Sunday, something good finally happened to the New Orleans Zephyrs.

Brad Davis drew a bases-loaded walk in the 14th inning to plate the go-ahead run, and the Zephyrs captured their first win of the 2011 season, 4-3 over the Nashville Sounds.

For most of the afternoon, it was more of the same for the Zephyrs, who came into the game with just 19 hits in 100 at-bats through the first three contests. Ryan Klosterman broke the spell with a three-run homer in the fifth, the first time this season the Z's scored more than one run in a game.

Tom Koehler, making his Triple-A debut after leading the Southern League with 16 victories a year ago, was splendid for the Zephyrs, yielding one run and four hits in six innings, and exited in line for the win.

But the Sounds rallied and tied the contest in the eighth. Edwin Maysonet and Brett Carroll singled with one out against Jay Buente, and came around to score on bases-loaded walks issued by Victor Garate.

Meanwhile, the Zephyrs were kept quiet by the Nashville bullpen, which allowed just one hit in seven innings after starter Frankie De La Cruz was lifted.

Nashville loaded the bases with one out in the 12th, but Steve Cishek pitched out of the jam by getting Eric Farris to ground into a force out and striking out Brandon Boggs to continue the game.

Ozzie Martinez led off the 14th with a single, and Ruben Gotay reached after attempting to sacrifice him to second. After a wild pitch, the Sounds elected to intentionally walk Aaron Mathews. The decision did not pay off, as Zack Segovia (0-1) walked Davis to force in the go-ahead run.

Jose Ceda (1-0) worked two scoreless innings and earned the win.

The Zephyrs continue their road trip through Tennessee on Monday with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch in Memphis, as right-handers Adalberto Mendez and Adam Ottavino will square off.
