HOOVER, Ala. - The University of Arkansas football team was picked to finish second in the Southeastern Conference's Western division, and three Razorbacks, quarterback Ryan Mallett, tight end D.J. Williams and offensive lineman DeMarcus Love were selected to the media's All-SEC teams. The squads are determined by a vote at the 2010 SEC Football Media Days, held July 21-23 at the Wynfrey Hotel.

UA locked down 726 points in the team-finish voting to place in front of divisional opponents Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State and Ole Miss. Alabama led the division and conference voting with 157 first-place votes. Florida was the top pick of the Eastern division with 153 first-place votes.

Mallett and Williams were named preseason first-team All-SEC picks at quarterback and tight end, respectively. Both UA football players were also first-team members according to league coaches.

The returning top passer in the conference, Mallett is the first quarterback in Arkansas history to garner preseason first-team attention by league coaches or media, and has notched both honors. He set the all-time mark with 30 touchdown throws last season during his assault on the UA record books. In total, Mallett broke or tied 16 school records in 2009 while leading the Razorbacks to an 8-5 record and a victory in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

Williams elected to return for his senior season at Arkansas after hauling in 32 catches for 411 yards last season. The UA football player has surmounted 1,298 yards on 98 receptions in his career.

Love, who has started seventeen-straight games at offensive line for Arkansas, was named to the media's second team after notching the same honors from the SEC coaches. Last season, Love was a member of a line unit that protected the top offensive attack in the conference. UA finished the season with league bests in scoring offense (36.0) and passing offense (295.5) for the first time since joining the SEC.
