FAYETTEVILLE - Tina Sutej and freshmen Drew Butler and Stephanie Brown, members of the University of Arkansas men's and women's track and field teams, have collected weekly Southeastern Conference honors, as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Butler competed in the 800 meters and as the lead leg of the distance medley relay, for the first time in his career, at the Razorback Invitational, just his second collegiate competition. He has been named the SEC Male Freshman of the Week for his efforts.

Butler led off the distance medley relay that clocked a season-best and race-winning time of 9:55.75. Butler clocked a 1,200-meter split of 2:59.91. The quartet's time of 9:55.75 leads the SEC, by more than 15 seconds, and ranks No. 6 in the NCAA. Butler's runner-up time of 1:50.15 in the 800 meters is a personal best and an NCAA provisional qualifier. His time ranks No. 5 in the NCAA and No. 1 in the SEC. He has the top time by a freshman in the NCAA in 2010.

Sutej finished second overall and first among collegians in the pole vault at the Razorback Invitational. She has been named the SEC Female Field Athlete of the Week for her efforts. Her clearance of 14-2 is a personal best, ranks No. 2 in the NCAA, leads the SEC and betters her Slovenian National record. She now holds the No. 3 jump in Arkansas school history. She has re-set the Slovenian National record, also her personal best, in all three meets this season. Sutej led a 2-3-5-7 finish for Arkansas in the event.

Brown, in her third competition as a Razorback, won her second collegiate 800-meter race at the Razorback Invitational. She has been named the SEC Female Freshman of the Week for her efforts. Her winning time of 2:05.08 is her second personal best in as many weeks and is an improved NCAA provisional qualifier. She was just .08 off the NCAA auto time. Her winning time ranks No. 3 in the NCAA and No. 3 in the SEC. She has the top time by a freshman in 2010.
